Searching your family tree returns one to history, searching out the clues and details of family and lives of generations past faces you starkly against that history. Starting with simple stories told to one as a child, and perhaps those heard later in life as well, one begins to search. First putting together the fragments - and backing those up with records whenever possible - keeping an open mind, knowing that the story comes from many re-tellings, one finally comes to a version of the truth. The Hunter family history is a work in progress. There is still information out there to find and we are always happy to find it.
