February 1874 - "Willson, Rich, and Bogert's six mule teams pulled out this morning for the front and are on their way to join the Yellowstone Wagon Road and Prospecting Expedition. This will be the finest outfit in the company, and is liberally provisioned. These gentlemen have spared no pains to make their outfit complete, and throughout have thrown all their energies into the scheme, determining to make it a success. The public spirit of these gentlemen is worthy of all praise."
February 1874 - "In Town--Dr. A J Hunter, accompanied by Mrs Hunter, came in from the White Sulper Springs Friday. Mrs H was looking remarkable well for one whose death was recently published. We hope she may live long to assist the Doctor in dispensing the hospitalities so generously bestowed upon visitors to the Springs.
February 1874 - "Ex-Sheriff John C. Guy went over with Dr. Hunter Tuesday to the White Sulpher Springs on the Yellowstone. Mr. Guy not entirely recovered from the terrible shock he received last summer, occasioned by being thrown from a bucking horse, he has hopes, cordially shared by his numerous friends, that the wonderful medical virtues of the Hot Springs may restore him to his wanted vigorous manhood."
February 1874 - "The Montanian of last week published a letter from Dr. A J Hunter of this county on a very important subject, and we trust that the legislature before its adjournment took up the suggestions contained in the letter and acted upon them. The enactment of some law relative to practicing physicians, based upon the plan suggested by Dr. Hunter, would be beneficial in its nature to legitimate physicians and also protect the people from the dangerous impositions of pretending quacks."
February 1874 - "We learn that Dr. Wright, agent at the Crow Agency, has been notified by the authorities to keep a sharp lookout for the Hostile Sioux, who were moving in the direction of his agency from the scenes of their late depredations in Wyoming."
